The Emergency Department at Union Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is equipped to treat all illnesses and injuries, whether minor, serious or life threatening. Our Emergency Department is staffed by physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, technicians and ancillary staff specially trained in emergency medicine. Our emergency medicine staff is highly experienced and equipped to handle routine and complex cases quickly and with the highest level of care and compassion. More than 90% of the physicians in the Emergency Department are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and have completed specialized training in emergency medicine during a three year residency. From major trauma to minor lacerations and bumps and bruises, it is important that when patients arrive in our emergency departments they receive care that is fast, efficient, and provided in a comfortable and healing environment.
