Transportation help is available

For patients covered by Maryland Medicaid, transportation assistance may be available through medical transport for the patient and a loved one. These resources can accommodate oxygen tanks, wheelchairs or other medical equipment that a patient may need to bring along.

Volunteers are available to help patients and a loved one get to local healthcare appointments, and taxi vouchers and gas cards are available on a limited basis.

Transportation outside the Cecil County area may be available if a patient has no other options. Patients who have a car but limited funds may receive a gas card.

To schedule transportation assistance, please call the Cancer Resource Center at (443) 245-4246 at least three days before an appointment. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays (excluding major holidays).
