Union Hospital offers official AHA self-directed CPR programs for BLS, ACLS and PALS featuring micro-simulation technology and scenario-based learning to learn the skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
As a student, you will complete a cognitive portion through an on-line course and a skills portion through attending an instructor-led course.
HeartCode ® Part 1 is an on-line course that can be completed at any time of day (wherever internet access and minimal system requirements are available) at your convenience. Links to student manuals are contained within the on-line course and should be studied prior to completing the testing portion of the on-line course.
HeartCode ® Parts 2 & 3 include the instructor-led skills course and testing in Unions’ Simulation Lab classroom. A Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAMs) prompts you to perform CPR in accordance with AHA guidelines.
