These include services provided to the community that are not expected to result in revenues. However, they are services which: 1) the hospital undertakes as a direct result of its community or mission driven initiatives; and 2) would otherwise not be provided in the community if the hospital did not perform these services. Currently Union Hospital provides hospital outpatient services and subsidized continuing care services.

Examples of subsidized continuing care services are:
- Adult Day Services
- Non-Billable Hospice Care
