Hospital Performance Information Available on MHCC Consumer Website

To help Maryland residents to make more informed decisions about their health care needs, the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) has available the Maryland Health Care Quality Reports website https://healthcarequality.mhcc.maryland.gov.  The MHCC website brings together the Commission’s consumer guides on hospitals, long term care facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, as well as commercial health plans, to create a comprehensive, consumer friendly resource.  On this site you will find important quality and performance information about Maryland facilities in the Hospital Guide section and useful links and resources to assist you in navigating through the health care delivery system.

Patient Grievance

At Union Hospital we strive to deliver the best possible care to our patients. If, however, you have any concerns about the service you or a family member received during your visit/stay, we encourage you to speak up. As a patient you have the right to file a complaint and expect timely follow-up. When you have a concern it is encouraged that you speak directly with the nurse, doctor, and or manager at the time of the concern so we can assist in providing you with an immediate resolution. Otherwise a complaint can be filed by calling the Customer Service Department at 410-398-4000 or submit a written complaint to the hospital. Every effort will be made to resolve your concerns within seven days if not sooner.

We appreciate the opportunity to resolve concerns and learn about ways we can improve our services.
