When cancer is your diagnosis, make ChristianaCare Union Hospital your choice for:

  • Screening and detection
  • Inpatient/outpatient care
  • Infusion Therapy Center
  • Cancer Support Center

At ChristianaCare, we are committed to providing state-of-the-art cancer care close to home. We offer screening and detection services for some of the most common cancers, including breast disease, colon, lung, and prostate. Inpatient and outpatient services are offered at ChristianaCare Union Hospital and through our association with ChristianaCare’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute.

Our inpatient and outpatient cancer program services are staffed with nurses specially trained in oncology care. In addition, all nurses in the outpatient infusion center are certified in chemotherapy, immunotherapy and oncology. Infusion Center staff members provide intravenous (IV) infusions and therapeutic injections, such as chemotherapy, intravenous antibiotics, and blood transfusions. Oncology Nurse Navigators are also available to assist patients and their families with support and resources.

The Cancer Support Center houses the Cancer Program staff and resources and supplies available to patients.  Oncology Nurse Navigators can arrange to meet with patients in this space, and a volunteer is available a few hours per week to assist with supporting patients with a cancer diagnosis.  Genetics Counselors from Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute also hold patient appointments in this space one day per week.
