Urooj Jaferi, M.D. is a compassionate and people-centered board-certified family medicine physician. In her current role, she works with adult, senior, and pediatric patients to treat their day-to-day non-emergency/primary care needs and to develop strategies for their ongoing health and wellness management.
Dr. Jaferi earned her medical degree from All Saints University in Dominica and the Medical University of the Americas in St. Kitts & Nevis. She completed her family medicine residency at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA, where she served as family medicine residency research chair.
Currently residing in Maryland, Dr. Jaferi is deeply excited to join ChristianaCare’s family medicine community as a physician provider. She currently serves as a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physicians and has authored numerous academic and journal publications.
