James Goettel, MD
Biography
James Goettel, M.D., is a dedicated and patient-centered board-certified family medicine physician. In his current role as a primary care physician for ChristianaCare, he works with patients of all ages to provide truly individualized care and creates evidenced-based health and wellness plans for his patients and their families.
Dr. Goettel earned his medical degree from the Trinity School of Medicine in Ribishi, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He completed his residency in family medicine from Suburban Community Hospital/Philadelphia College of Medicine in Norriton, PA. Prior to his current role, he worked as a senior telemedicine assistant for a walk-in medical practice in Ontario, Canada.
Dr. Goettel is excited to continue to grow his career with ChristianaCare and to provide the highest quality of care to his patients and their families. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada, and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Outside of work, you’ll likely find him enjoying his numerous hobbies, including photography, amateur radio, guitar, and DIY home improvement.
