Sofia B. Stewart, MD is an empathetic and dedicated board-certified family medicine physician. In her current role, she works with patients across the age spectrum, treating the day-to-day non-emergency/primary care needs of her patients as well as working with them on their ongoing health and wellness management.
Dr. Stewart earned her medical degree from the Universidad de Carabobo Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud (University of Carabobo Department of Health Sciences) in Valencia, Venezuela. She completed her family medicine residency at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE, where she also served as junior medical director. Additionally, she is trained in abdominal ultrasound.
A member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Stewart is excited to grow her career as a member of ChristianaCare’s family medicine team. When she’s not at work, you’re likely to find her writing science fiction, cooking traditional Venezuelan food, or playing acoustic guitar. She is fluent in Spanish.
