What is the Nurse Residency Program?
In 2014, Union Hospital became a member of MONL’s (Maryland Organization of Nurse Leaders) Nurse Residency Collaborative. Union’s program was developed based on a nationally known curriculum with impressive outcomes. The program kicked off in 2015 with the first Cohort, and has continued to grow. The program is designed for all new graduate nurses entering Union. The yearlong program provides transition-to-practice experiences through expert discussions, scenario-based role playing, and hands-on learning in our SIM Lab, along with many other innovative ways of learning
