As part of broader continuum of behavioral health services ranging from acute inpatient programming to outpatient programming, we strive to meet your needs in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach.
Our dedicated staff includes a team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, counselors, nurses, and other specialty clinicians of all whom take great pride in helping you to reach your full potential on your journey towards recovery.
Our 12-bed inpatient unit located in Union Hospital on the fourth floor offers a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment. Under the direction of a psychiatrist, our multi-specialty team, using a person-centered approach to care, will formulate and implement an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs and desires for treatment. We believe in a holistic approach to your recovery that not only addresses your behavioral health concerns but also complements your physical health. In addition to your behavioral health team, you will have the opportunity to meet with a provider(s) to address any medical issues or concerns you may be experiencing and to coordinate necessary care as needed. We encourage you to involve your loved ones in your care, as they can offer you additional support and encouragement during this time and throughout your recovery.

Our outpatient practice, ChristianaCare Behavioral Health at Elkton, is located in Suite 204 in the Medical Professional Building across the street from Union Hospital. Outpatient services include psychiatric evaluation and medication management and individual/couple/family therapy.
All of our therapists are licensed mental health professionals, and our physician and advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners are board-certified in psychiatry and dedicated to helping you to restore to your highest potential.
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, most major commercial insurances, and self-pay.
