| ABOUT US | Visitors Visitors play a vital role in helping patients recover. We encourage family members and friends to drop by and spend time with a loved one who is recovering from an injury, surgery or illness. Be a good visitor while you’re here and respect the hospital’s hours and other rules. They’re for the benefit of the patients. We also have a number of conveniences—including a gift shop where you can pick up a cheerful card or gift—you may want to take advantage of. |
Visiting hours Peace and quiet, adequate rest and time for treatment are essential to the welfare of all patients. At the same time, we welcome visitors—the goodwill you bring is a valuable part of therapy. Medical and Surgical Units Maternal & Infant Center - Family—11 a.m.–8 p.m.
(Brothers and sisters of newborn babies are permitted to visit the Maternity Department when accompanied by the father or grandparent.)
ICU - 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
No more than two visitors should be with a patient at one time.
Behavioral Health Unit Children are allowed to visit inpatient rooms when permission is obtained from the nurses on the unit. Special permission may be granted for children to visit critically ill patients by the nursing supervisor. |
Smoking | As a health care institution, Union Hospital has a primary responsibility to restore and promote health among the citizens of our community. Specifically it is the objective of Union Hospital to ensure the good health of our patients, visitors and employees. The hospital is also required to comply with JCAHO standards mandating a smoke-free environment in all health care organizations. The hospital’s entire campus—indoors and outdoors is tobacco-free. Patients, visitors, employees and the public are asked to comply with the policy that includes all hospital property, and all forms of tobacco. |
ATM Machine For your convenience, an automatic teller machine (ATM) is located outside the Union Express Café, with 24-hour access. |
Gift Shop Balloons, flowers, cards and more are conveniently located on the entry level of the hospital, on the corridor to the left of the reception desk. Most major credit cards are accepted. Proceeds from sales go to the hospital. Hours: - Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m.

Union Express Café Pick up a quick cup of coffee or have a seat and enjoy a cup of soup or sandwich. You can do either at our coffee shop, located on the first floor of the hospital on the corridor to the left of the reception desk. Hours: - 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., seven days a week

Free Parking Our new parking garage is a multilevel structure with room for 480
vehicles and an easy-in-and-out design. Bring your ticket with you into the hospital for validation. |
