Nursing and Imaging Scholarship Program

Providing financial assistance for your nursing and radiology education

The Union Hospital Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to qualified student applicants at any point in or immediately following their education.

  • Full scholarship support while enrolled in an approved 2-year or 4-year Registered Nursing or Radiology Program
  • Leading to a paid, 20-week internship on graduation and a full-time nursing career at Union Hospital, repaying each year of scholarship with 1 year of employment.

Earning while learning

In addition, after only one semester, you are eligible for a paid position within the hospital to supplement your financial resources and put your skills to work.

Your commitment to Union Hospital

The Union Hospital Scholarship Program is a competitive loan program. Your loan is forgiven through an agreement to work a full-time commitment of one year of service at Union Hospital for every year or part of year of scholarship.

Selection criteria

Union Hospital’s Scholarship Programs are competitive programs. Selection criteria includes:

  • 2.5 Grade Point Average or better and acceptance in an accredited nursing or imaging program
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Two letters of reference, emphasizing organizational ability, observed competency in clinical skills (if applicable) and communication skills. If you are enrolled in nursing courses, at least one of these references must be from your clinical instructor.
  • Completion of an interview with Union Hospital Selection Committee
