Health Education Programs

Part of our mission at Union Hospital is to provide information and education designed to promote health and wellness to our patients. We accomplish this through classes, support groups, speaker’s programs and health screenings.

Union Hospital offers the following education programs:

Designed to prepare you with the knowledge and coping skills to replace fear of the unknown with realistic expectations for the birth of your baby.

Our program will teach you the importance of proper nutrition and exercise, stress management, and controlling your blood sugar to minimize complications. Registration required.

Join us for a stimulating discussion. Get inside information on various health topics from our very own experts. Meet and discuss your concerns with doctors from Union Hospital during these free lectures open to residents of Cecil County and surrounding communities.

This fun interactive class helps young siblings ages 3-7 prepare for the new arrival of their baby brother or sister.

Designed to educate mothers to the techniques, benefits, and importance of breastfeeding.

Two day class designed to prepare expectant couples who either are new parents or current parents in need of a refresher.

The I Can Cope program gives participants an opportunity to share their concerns with others having similar experiences and to design ways to cope with the challenges that arise from a cancer diagnosis.
