| SERVICES | Cancer Program We understand cancer—and how it affects the lives of those dealing with it. At Union Hospital, we believe one of the most important benefits of our cancer care is that we keep patients close to home—and the life they want to continue living. We offer comprehensive cancer prevention educational programs, detection and screening services, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and follow-up services. Our Cancer Center offers radiation therapy in collaboration with Christiana Care Health System. We have an advanced Infusion Center, and participate in clinical trials. We also offer chemotherapy, nutritional counseling, cancer information resources, community cancer screenings and cancer support group participation. Screening for and early detection of cancer is a major focus, especially regarding the five cancer sites found most often in our community—lung, prostate, breast, colon and bladder. By targeting preventive programs and promoting early detection measures, we’re working toward a decrease in incidence of these cancers. | | Our Cancer Program by is certified by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. | For more information about any of the above areas: |
