ABOUT US
Admission to the Hospital

You’ll be assigned a room (80% of our beds are private), floor and section on a nondiscriminatory basis according to your medical needs and conditions. If you are dissatisfied with your accommodations, you may request a change through your nurse.

The nursing staff will orient you to your room at the time of admission. Knowing your environment will help reduce your risk of injury.

  • Know the location of call lights, bed control switches, bathroom and closets
  • Learn how the bedside table works. DO NOT USE THE BEDSIDE TABLE FOR SUPPORT—it has wheels and moves easily
  • Keep the telephone within reach—if you’re not able to reach the telephone, call for assistance
  • Smoking is prohibited
  • Don’t bring electrical appliances into your room (except razors/blow dryers)
