| ABOUT US | Admission to the Hospital You’ll be assigned a room (80% of our beds are private), floor and section on a nondiscriminatory basis according to your medical needs and conditions. If you are dissatisfied with your accommodations, you may request a change through your nurse. The nursing staff will orient you to your room at the time of admission. Knowing your environment will help reduce your risk of injury. | - Know the location of call lights, bed control switches, bathroom and closets
- Learn how the bedside table works. DO NOT USE THE BEDSIDE TABLE FOR SUPPORT—it has wheels and moves easily
- Keep the telephone within reach—if you’re not able to reach the telephone, call for assistance
- Smoking is prohibited
- Don’t bring electrical appliances into your room (except razors/blow dryers)
