Health Professions Education

Educational programs for health professionals, funding for staff education conferences focused on community services and health improvement, clinical and non-clinical internships, nursing clinical rotations and nursing practicums are all a part of the Community Benefit of Union Hospital.


We currently have internships in the following areas:

  • Pre-Med
  • Pharmacy
  • Phlebotomy
  • Radiology
  • Ultrasound
  • Surgical Technicians
  • Outpatient Dietary
  • Food Services
     

We currently have nursing clinical rotations for the following departments:

  • Maternal and Infant Care/Pediatrics
  • Progressive Care Unit
  • Surgery
  • Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Unit
  • Adult Day Services
     

We are currently contracted for nursing practicums with the following schools:

  • Cecil Community College
  • Harford Community College
  • University of Delaware
  • Wesley College
